Big Sean just became the youngest person to ever receive the key to his hometown of Detroit.
Sean came into the industry repping the D to the fullest, but it’s his philanthropic efforts, Sean Anderson Foundation, that helped get the 29 year old rapper this honor. In the Instagram post above, he speaks of receiving the key and being in the ranks of Berry Gordy and Stevie Wonder.
Big Sean also noted that the foundation’s “Mogul Prep” initiative will be taught this fall in high schools in Detroit and Baltimore, Md. The program was created in collaboration with his mother, Myra Anderson, a former schoolteacher.
