Kendrick Lamar is leading hip-hop in this years Grammy Awards with 11 nominations.

This year’s “Best Hip-Hop Album” category has some major players up for the award including Dr. Dre, J.Cole, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. 

In the 2000’s era, Eminem owned the Grammy category with 3 wins (The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show). Kanye West came onto the music scene and took home 2 awards for The College Dropout & Late Registration. Other winners include Outkast (2 winners), Ludacris, and Lil Wayne with the Carter III.
