No, the title of the story is not a typo!  Drake’s famous acronym that he dubbed in his song The Motto, Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) is making the rounds in the field of education.  Prospective students at Tufts University in Boston are being asked as a  part of the college application process to construct a 250-300 word essay of what the acronym YOLO means to them.  That’s not it though, there also being asked the following question below as a part of the essay…

The ancient Romans started it when they coined the phrase “Carpe diem.” Jonathan Larson proclaimed “No day but today!” and most recently, Drake explained You Only Live Once (YOLO).  Have you ever seized the day? Lived like there was no tomorrow?  Or perhaps you plan to shout YOLO while jumping into something in the future. What does #YOLO mean to you?- Essay question from Tufts U. on YOLO Vibe magazine

Who said that hip hop doesn’t influence higher learning???  Y.O.L.O.!!!
